cube quest help please
« on: Jan 06, 2013; 09:33 PM »
Hi everyone who is still playing hellgate SP9.
Best wishes for the new year.

I've just started playing SP again and immediately (doh!)
gotten myself in a quite a bit of a trouble when I
accidently deleted the cube.

From the information I gathered from the forum, I've figured out
that I can either make the cube quest repeatable or change the
reward of an unfinished quest into a cube (208?)

The problem is, the changes and saves I make don't show up in the game.
I save quest.txt.cooked file under data>excel folder.
(After typing in the value I want, I go to "save" to overwrite the exisiting
cooked time under the same folder. Am I doing it wrong?)
But each time I reload the quest table, the value I changed is restored.
Can someone please explain how to save the cooked file correctly so that
the changes I make stay permanantly?

I've attached the hg1 file of the toon missing cube.
Can anyone reanimator-savvy spare some time for this guy? : )

thank you for your reply.
I am using the latest-nagahaku 3.0b, but this character had been
hexed before installing 3.0b.
For some reason, I could only use item-trade function using 1.0.3 reanimator
for most characters including new ones(created under 3.0b mod).
I'd like to have someone help me salvage items in inventory(not the stash)
if adding cube back into the character is not a viable option.

thank you again!

I hope this save has the cube in the inventory. I say this because I haven't been able to install the Nagahaku mod, so I had to try a workaround, which seems to have worked, but I won't know for certain until you've looked at the character.

Thank you very much for your time.
I have load the character under my current setting, which is still nagahaku 3.0b,
and I do see couple of cubes.
Unfortunately though, all items that I wanted to "trade" using the cube are either
disappeared or missing properties.
I noticed that the new type armors and weapons from tc4 are completely missing,
and the "mythic" level items are missing properties.

Once again, thank you for your valuable time, I will patiently wait for someone who
plays SP with nagahaku 3.0b mod installed.
Happy new year to you Malachor and your loved ones.

Ok, I've tried again, and it appears to match the first screenshot.
I had to reinstall the game completely, so I could successfully install Nagahaku's mod.

oh Gosh! thank you so much for doing this.
One thing I did not want was wasting too much time of a good samaritan.
I guess I just did.  It is very nice of you.
the character loads without a glitch.
I got a error pop-up while trying to trade items to a different character using reanimator 1.0.3,
but got it work using 1.1.0.(It's nice to have options!)
I apologize for putting you through reinstallation process.
I've done it numerous times myself so I know it is rather cumbersome.
what more can I say. May the force be with you.

You're welcome kumose.

Considering I couldn't install either Nagahaku's mod, or Revival, I had to reinstall anyway. So, no need to apologise.
