Monster Damage Type?
« on: Aug 31, 2009; 02:58 AM »
In HG:L those monsters that are based on the Tortured Soul etc (the ones that fly through you, and you can't dodge) what type of damage do they do.  And seeing as you can't dodge/evade them is there any sort of mods on armour that will help reduce the damage done to you after they finish going through you, like spectral/stun etc.

most of them have spectral/phase damage, some have fire/ignite damage... beware of rift wonderers they have direct spectral, phase and when you kill them they hit with direct physical (maybe) and leave a "bomb" of phase splash damage :x .

You can avoid being hit by them if you stand in a corner.

you can't stand in a corner forever when you're a templar :D ... and those guys (rift...anything) were made to kill templars (I think) :x .

Phase and Ignite defence are the only defence.
As alredy stated standing in a corner helps and also staying out of range works. They wont attack you if you dont come closer then 20 meters. Moreover they totaly ignore minions, drones and elementals.

Yep, they're much worse for summoners because they don't aggro your pets. For your pets to attack them you have to be close enough which puts you into their range ... not cool. At least templars have armor. So you either have to slowly inch forward to only trigger few at a time, or use some long range weapons to whittle them down.
