So anyway ... Those that know me know that I love a$$ing around with HG:L armours and textures and most especially swapping meshes and textures around to see what I can come up with ... Now it seems some software company (T something or other I think it's called) is re-releasing a certain game and that game happens to have files that, amazingly, work in HG:L ;)
So ...
We have a replacement for the Female Templar Tech Heavy Armour (or Avalon's armour from the teaser video for those that don't know which one it is)
OT... I actually love the Avalon Armour, so I moved it down the scale to replace the rather ugly and plain looking Female Templar Tech Light armour and because i replaced the Tech Heavy helmet with the new one I moved the original one over to replace that ridiculous dog's head thing that went with the Female Templar Power Light armour ... If anyone wants the swapped about armours let me know ...
BTT...Plus a new helmet to go with it ... Although I'm deeply biased towards Templars, there are also a couple of other faction armours that are a bit different (sexy?) which I may also swap into HG:L (If people wish it that is) I also have a couple of other weapons to put up at a later stage
I've named the files for the directories they need to go in (just change the % symbols for symbols) and of course you all know to MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF THE ORIGINAL DIRECTORY FIRST
(Hope the link works, there are also a couple of my older files in there for anyone still interested)

Plus also we have a couple of replacement weapons (Again filenames tell the destination)

Have you used "unhell" on your games .dat files?
If yes, then you should see those directories.
If no, then you'll have to use "Unhell" on the .dat files then "HGLzap" on the .idx files so that your game will use the unpacked versions of the games data/textures instead of the packed .dat files ... It's sort of like unzipping files before you can use them

Oh I see... Well no, unfortunately I cannot get reanimator to work for me, so I can't "unhell". Wish I could 'thou...
-
Berit... it is possible to get these to work with the new 1.5 launcher as this adds the mods and repacks the .idx/.dat back afterward,s hence why a lot of people are running with no unhelled files.
There is a post somewhere (extremely helpful I know...sorry) about how to make mods work with the new format as I asked about this when i was doing my textures. I just cannot for the life of me remember where it is at the moment.

I believe you can find "Unhell" and other utilities in the file section of the board. If Berit can get his mods to work with the new launcher this will be a moot point, but if not you can try this older method out (just back everything up, as I am sure you do anyways) cuz you can really pooch your install... as I have done repeatedly :D.

Oh god yes ... I can't remember how many times I've had to reinstall HG:L or unpack all of my .dat files AGAIN because I bollixed something right up ...
The problem I have is that my HG:L directory(ies) total up to 106.35Gb's of data! And look like one of the Hanbitsoft/T3/Flagship devs puked in it ... It's so full of "Helled", "Unhelled", "Packed", "Unpacked", "Cooked" and "Uncooked" files plus backups, copies, version 1's, version 2's, version 3's version <--->276's, that I wouldn't even no where to begin making them compatible with the new Launcher, then too I'm still using the OLD "NewLauncher" (with patch 1.21 I think?) .. Maybe some helpful soul on here can either do the repacking or give me some tips on ho to go about it? I need a mod.ini or a script file of some description i think? ...Anyway
BTT ...
So getting some inspiration from the web, I kinda liked this image, so I'm gonna' try and recreate it as best I can
[attachment=1:sgq19bai]2010040601a.jpg[/attachment:sgq19bai]
So far Ive got the helmet done (again as best I can, as It's really a conglomeration of two of the Templar Helmets in the image, as is the armor shown)
BTW. It looks really good in a darker dye/colour

More Weapons and armor to come ... (And no, I haven't forgotten about the "Witchblade" Cabalist Armor, I'm still workin' on that one)

It would be nice if you can re-create that HG:T armor for use in the game. Given the situation surrounding the Open Beta for HG:G, I think I would rather play my original copy (though I would miss out on the various character customization options). However, it'll probably be challenging considering you have to make it in 3 parts (torso, belt, legs) and the fact that there might be seams visible when the three pieces are put together.

At this point in time there is no way to modify the 3D models, so the best I could get would be a modified version of the "Avalon" Templar Armor i.e. adding the straps to the upper thighs and stomach, changing slightly the on armor fluting and scroll work and also, it seems from the images I've seen, removing most of the 'glowy bits'

Berit comes and goes like the wind... So it may take a day or a year for him to see this and get back to you on it lol.

hello i got a problem with your link -->Forbidden
You don't have permission to access //skydrive.live.com/ on this server.
how can i fix this?
-
Guys, the uploader has been away for a while so sadly untill he's back there's little that can be done =/
Unless some other user happens to have the files and could provide them so someone can replace them.
Hmm,this sounds familiar 8)
