It's been a while since I dropped in. First and foremost, good to see this community still thriving and I'm excited about the progress that is being made on London 2038! I also wanted to create essentially a one stop shop thread for my own game project, Hellrift. Hellrift is not intended to compete with London 2038. It is a new IP that will be released on Steam when it is ready and draws a lot of inspiration from Hellgate, but is definitely its own beast.
As of right now, I have the following functionality in and working in Unreal.
*Health/Mana and other base stats and functionality (regen).
*Basic ranged combat.
*Multitude of weapon stats for creating a variety of base items.
*Multiple damage types, and modifiers such as resistances, critical strikes, armor, etc.
*Loot drops based on loot tables that vary by monster level and other factors.
*Assigning item rarity to loot based on several factors. However, rarity serves no purpose right now as I'm still working on the affix system.
As of right now, we're working on our first level, monster, and some other assets in order to get our vertical slice together. IN some regards, we are still where we were a few months ago. However, we DID just finish our first character, the Remnant Soldier. He is the equivalent of Hellgate's Hunter faction, and is the ranged character class. We have both a base version of him and his initial set of gear finished (pictured), and will be working on getting him into the engine this week. We're all very excited.
