Im Very Confused
« on: Dec 07, 2015; 11:57 AM »
So sorry to ask, but this seems to be most helpful place to find out to say the least. I actually Read about this game way back when in GameInformer Magazine. And because i just recently got an actual computer, Before this i was using a netbook to survive. I decided to load this game up and check it out finally. I'm very happy so far with what I've played. In this Free to Play version, but my questions remain, and are as follows:

So they originally sold this to the public as an official title? Then it became free to play?

I see loads of Mods and Support for this game, when these online Servers go offline, what then? No Private Servers? No Nothing?

I guess thats it for now, i have had random crashes occur, so im going to chill out playing the game for today. But tommorrow ill be putting some hours in online. To support the servers as they die off i guess lol.

Hellgate Global is made by Hanbitsoft and the Hellgate Revival forums offer a place to talk about it. Hellgate Revival though is a project which offers mods and some tools for use with Hellgate London, the singleplayer game. The mods aren't meant and don't work with Hellgate Global.

Hellgate Global servers go offline at the end of this year. And yeah, when that happens everything you've achieved in Global is gone. But this doesn't have any kind of impact on Hellgate London which you can still play.

I'll boil this down into 2 statements one is hellgate london is(was) a single player game relased back in 2007 and it had a multi player component when it was flagship stuidos but they went bankrupt. then 4-5 years later a company bought the I.P and it was released again as hellgate global a free to play game that is pretty good but they only supported it for a year or 2 then cut it down to just mantenice and now it's shutting down for good. when it was under flagship it at least had a vision but when t3nofarkinfun took over they just bled it dry and left the desicated corpse to foul the waters.
