Fog,Smoke and Dead Bodies
« on: Mar 27, 2017; 08:14 AM »
hi ,im having problems playing the game only on certain maps such as london streets ,iI am pretty sure it is because of there are tons of smoke and fog effects coming from the streets + explosive weapons ,so much that the frame rate makes it unplayable sometimes ,is there a way to disable them to 0 ? since i already tried the lowest shadows and disabling the improved effects option ,I sometimes lag because of the tons of enemy bodies laying all over whem using lost london MOD ,is there a way to make them disappear automatically or after a while? a canĀ“t find any options that allow me to disable fog/smoke and dead bodies.
Any help would be nice

Hard to say, if it's at all possible.
Maybe it could help flip the whole level environment.
Heed the reanimator tables "Level", "level_drlg_choice", "level_drlgs" and "level environments".
Each level have in table "level_drlg_choice" assigned a file from table "level_drlgs", in this table is then assigned file from table "level_environments" (it's such a cascade).
Depending on what environment is to the level assigned, is set color palette and various sfx accessories (MAYBE fog and smoke too).
Watch out for exceptions - In some levels can be environment set directly from table "level_drlg_choice" (parameter "environmentOverRide")
Dead bodies - i never dealt with it, but i think so dissapear time is set from each monster separately. In reanimator table "monsters" it could be a parameter "corpseExplodePoints".
Even though there are exceptions, because i know so some bosses have in "bitmask" parameters set that the body newer goes away.

thanks for the replay ,ill try messing around with it .
as for why dead bodies lag me ,i found out that  everytime i walk away those bodies vanish, untill i come close to them  and  they spawn again  making that dying sound from every corpose at once causing me lag,i dont even know if thats normal ,i mean they should not make that noise again if they are already dead  :o ..

Yes, this bug unfortunatelly makes all versions of Hellgate. I do not know what would be done with it..
