Procuring nanoshards from cube

I'm trying to follow the directions from the pinned thread "how to procure items using the cube"  but there is no longer a "dupe" button.

So instead I've modified the cube_town_portal recipe(index 50) and treasure index 32 so it should make a nanoshard. However, my character doesn't have the recipe in his cube. I checked the always known box, but it doesn't show up in the recipe list.

How can I add a recipe to the known recipes list?

First things first, take us through all of the steps you took so far.

OK, the steps I've done:

1. went to items table and found nanoshard (#116)
2. went to treasure table and found an empty slot (#32)
3. changed header in treasure item to: 3,62,0,-1,0,-1 to match items made from the cube
4. changed treasure class to: cube_nanoshard
5. changed pickType to: one
6. changed picks from all zeroes to: 1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
7. changed item1 to: 1, 116 leaving the rest as zero
8. changed value1 to: 1
9. went to recipes table to cube_townportal (#50)
10. checked alwaysKnown box
11. changed ingredient2ItemClass to: -1
12. changed ingredient2MinQuantity to: 0
13. changed ingredient2MaxQuantity to: 0
14. changed treasureResult1 to: 32
15. saved recipes table and treasures table
16. closed reanimator and ran hellpack
17. started hellgate london (I have unofficial revival 2.3) and loaded character
18. attempted to find recipe in the cube's list but it wasn't there. Also tried placing analyzer stack into cube 
      and clicking create but nothing happened.

That seems to be the correct method.
Now, have you loaded up reanimator and confirmed that the recipe and treasure entries are there?

When I bring up the tables in reanimator the changes that I have made aren't there anymore.

I'm not sure why. Previously I did a 5x experience mod and that is showing in the monster table and working. Now when I run hellpack it says "Hellpack has detected an existing index append? (Y/N)" I've tried both options and neither has worked.

This means that you still have your modified sp_*.dat and sp_*.idx files in reanimator's data folder.
Did you copy them to the game's data folder?
I personally move, not just copy, them into the game's data folder so I know that I've made the changes.

So I have now copied the sp_hellgate_1337.dat and sp_hellgate_1337.idx files into the game data folder, and into the SP_x64 folder. Still no luck.

Though before I was able to successfully move those files I had a bunch of other files in reanimator data folder as well, so I pasted them over too. That broke the game. So I reinstalled it, and had some fun gettign reanimator working again. Sadly this means I likely lost a 5X xp mod I had working.

When I reopen reanimator after saving the modified tables, running hellpack, and moving the generated files I don't see the modifications that I made. I'm not sure why the modifications don't appear again. I had the same thing with my 5X xp mod, but it was working, I haven't had time to test it since the reinstall.

Could you post your packed and source files?
I can't think of anything that you've done that might have prevented them from working.

I will also not tell you, where you do a mistake. Maybe Malachor even think of something.
But one thing i know for sure - if revival file "treasures.txt.cooked" passes through recooking process in Hellpack, will minimally damaged loot tables for crates and chest, but probably occur much more errors.
I dont like this type of cheats (and loot from Zomper give to player 200 free nanoshard for one character), but when you're doing here so long conversation..   ;)

Instal this mod instead of normal revival 2.3 and into cube (very bottom) you find the desired recipe.
Used tresure have number 590 in the treasures table, recipe 159.

Cheese, the pickType in Treasure has been changed from one to Null.
Everything else looks fine.

Thanks for your help! The mod from Kikina worked.

Now as for the treasure pickType being changed to null instead of one, I had a very hard time getting that to change from null to one, so I doesn't surprise me that it didn't save properly.
