No, new characters. It's going to be with a new engine so any current characters won't be compatible. Regarding your other questions, it's a bit too early to say.
And I can't answer the funds related questions.

Sorry for the lack of input on my side over the last 2 months, as circumstantially my life has changed considerably. I'm still trying to find a little haven for myself where I can settle down and get back into the community. The project is going considerably well actually, however I am being all secretive and keeping the details and news minimal until it's close to release time. I have been working on the new website, which will deliver the news and progress from now on. Until all this is finished, which is getting close, I will be a little preoccupied as I don't feel I have much to share until these milestones are met. Thanks for understanding :)

And before anyone asks him any question that starts with the word "When" please allow me to answer....

"Soon."

Maeyan, that happens with any major project. You haven't become "it." It becomes "you"

Just bustin' your chops, besides, I don't think you are even at a point where you would use the word "soon."
It's all good.

We are busting our chops with the SP modifications still, yet it still steps closer to the Revival port. Once we finish the new Reanimator, we can..
- Export all the game relational data (spreadsheets) and import it into the new engine
- Export all the models & environments
- Export all the animations

Plus, in the short term, it provides modders with:
- A new XML based method to develop mods
- A spanking new interface and availability to ALL spreadsheets, not just some..
- Ability to use multiple modifications & no need to worry about 'compatibility'
- Possibly ability to add NEW items

This feet is truly worth it and funnily enough we have come a really long way over the last month. Pretty exciting stuff :)

We are chowing over the base Revival SP modification too, and balancing (and adding) a lot of things to improve the base line modification for others to build on. It has occured to me some things don't belong in the 'base line' Revival patch, and were merely added due to peer pressure, or just because I was excited I'd worked out how to do something.

Patch 2.0 is the next upcoming revision and will contain the revisions I speak of. Your current saves will be safe, however you may find some items/balances you have become used to will dissappear... take the increase of mods and mod rarity available from the vendor. That will be removed, but if you really think this should be part of the game, you can always include it from another modification. After all, this new method is developed to allow many mods to be installed over one another.. you can specify your own game rules!

More soon... back to Reanimator.. 2038... :)

Deep appreciation for your ongoing support guys.
