Idea on shared Stash (Outgame)
« on: Nov 22, 2009; 09:56 AM »
Greetings Mortals

I guess its almost impossible to implement a shared stash in HGL as a MOD.
But maybe its possible to do such a thing outgame via a small tool wich alters the Savegames?

As a reference u could look at the TQ Vault for Titans Quest:
http://http://titanquestvault.ign.com/View.php?view=ToolsandEditors.Detail&id=6

With TQ Vault u can manage your goodies in almost endless space and give them your Chars at will :)

If it was easily possible then someone from either the team here or someone in the modding community would have found a way to do this by now, after all the info is all stored in a single file.

The fact that there is not "yet" a way of doing this should give some idea of just how hard the savegame file format is to modifiying without the original tools.

There are (I believe) quite a few threads all regards a shared stash that show via the search terms shared stash
Nostalgia... Isn't what it used to be

exactly, but thx for trying, that idea was one of the first ones ppl tried ... its also called a MULER since you can mule your stuff on an extra made character then (or well give it to an alraedy existing one)
Its common for every game

"Gosh your Hotkey settings are still bugged! Alt+F1-F3 are ok, but anytime i wanna assign Alt+F4, the game crashes without saving and i have to assign all f*ckin keyz again. Fix this you jerks!"

Yeah i'm working on reverse engineering the save file, when this happens a tool will be created.
