Save files...
« on: Oct 24, 2017; 08:43 PM »
Hi all,

Regarding save files; i have managed to make 3 separate clients, each to run Lost London, Revival and the new 2038. However to make the games flow smoothly, I am wondering is there a way to duplicate save files, so I can have the same char for both LL and Revival? But with each being able to be on the seperate mods..... for example 'Bob' can only use LL...whereas 'Bob_Revived' can only use revival. I have tried a simple copy and paste, but the new duplicates do not show on the selection screen.

The reason is because some elements from either mod doesn't work, so if I gain something on revival it may not work at all on LL and vice versa...

Any help is welcome :)

As far as I can tell, the only thing you can do is, when you start each game, call the player as appropriate and remember not to open her in a different mod.

As you said:

And so on.

There appears to be no way, safely, of keeping the save folders local to your HG installation (I ll say "safely" as I think someone said you could do it with some command line thingy  - I recall trying it but losing my save games after about a week or so of playing - it was flaky at best)

NOTE - I might be thinking of Diablo 2 and the "keep saves local" option and it not working.
I use named features for D2 mods - Argur Plain, Argur MXL (MedianXL) for example.
That might me why my mistake.

At any rate - new save, named to match the mod.
