Can this be adjusted some how?

I think it could be, but only by changing your mouse sensitivity.

Yes, I can do that. Have done it....but that adjusts it way too fast for the rest of my uses. It has always seemed odd to me that it moves so slow.... I have the mouse speed turned up full blast for game play, and that works fine, but is sure seems like I am dragging that pointer through molasses in the inventory/vendor screens etc.

Anyone else notice this issue?

It is a mouse acceleration issue. If you are using XP there is a patch you can get to fix the problem for games. If you are using 7 then I don't know if there is a patch. I'm looking into this myself for 7 at the moment.

EDIT

I found a post for 7 that works (95% better anyway).....

"I've found a way to control mouse acceleration in windows 7. It does not completely removes the accel but u can change the setting.

Go to Control Panel>>Ease of Access>>Ease of Access Center
Now click "Make the mouse easier to use" option. Under "Control the mouse with keyboard" section, you can see a button named "Set up Mouse Keys". Click it. There you can see a section called "Pointer Speed" where there are two sliders for 'Top Speed' and 'Acceleration'. Adjust both of them to your liking. If you keep accel slider to slow, you will notice heavy mouse accel whereas if you set it at fast, it pretty much feels like no accel.

For me, both sliders to extreme right (high and fast) together with 1000Hz polling rate seems comfortable but its all up to you and your liking.

Again i wud like to tell that it wont remove the accel at all. It just decreases the accel. Play with these settings to get the right feeling until someone posts a way to completely remove this mouse accel."

Another fix is to get a G5 gaming mouse. It has 3 DPI settings so you can change the speed on the fly. A great gaming mouse too. Almost on 2 years with mine.

I had the sluggish mouse problem when I installed Lost London mod. Thought it was that. Then found out I had a graphical setting turned on that normally I turn off.

I think It was Antialiasing. Turned it off and My mouse went back to normal.

Of Course I have to have my settings on medium for the most part to keep the game running / loading at a decent speed.

My guess would be that you activated "Tripple Buffering". That option MASSIVELY influences the mouse speed...
