Arise!!!

After applying this patch, I suddenly cannot change weapons sets (it makes the funky sound effect, but I remain on F1). I can drag and drop the weapons from the inventory screen, but they don't show up in animations.

Related to the chest fix or some other corruption? I had a whacked install (infinite loading screen) so I reverted using the latest beta launcher and reinstalled 1.5b1 and then the chest fix (using the old launcher)...

Does anyone give a rat's ass about this now that OBT is coming? If not then let me know here and I stop posting such foolishness  :D.

hmm... everything works fine on my game... and I don't think modified file has something to do with weapon slots.



anyone else having the same problem?

Sorry not much help as all fine here, but I still give a rat's ass about these mods as I've no idea how long HG:G will run for and it's good to have my SP fix incase.

Ok, maybe I will re-install everything from scratch (not REVERT) and see if that makes a difference. I'll see how that goes and let ya'll know if it fixes the glitch.

I seem to recall a problem with items getting "stuck" in incorrect slots on the paper-doll, like armor pieces in the weapon slots... weapons in the helmet slots, etc. Perhaps this is related, although I didn't check off the "No Factions" option in the beta install - which I believe was the cause of this type of anomaly.

My thoughts were to use SP to test out various builds (knowing that there are differences in HGG) on classes I haven't played much (Summoner, Evoker and BM). M'eh.

i haven't had any problems either. a couple crashes but nothing like that. Good luck thumper!

Revert doesn't always work for me some times just screws everything up,
So i just made a backup of my entire Hellgate Dir after fresh install all good now so if anything dies too much i just have to copy and done  :)

Reinstalling everything (except chest fix) seems to have returned everything to normal.

When you looked at your inventory (and weapon slots) did you see weird/odd items that should not have been there?

I ran into that when using reanimator (to share items) ignoring the warning that I had weapons equipped.  DO NOT ignore that warning.  ;)

I was able to fix one character by swapping items (not sure how I did it).  The other character I caught right after sharing the items, removing the weapons like you are supposed to, and using reanimator again.

(I had a rough time coming up with search terms for a "weapon slot bug" so hopefully this post will help others).

Nope. The only anomaly (other than what I noted) was that with one particular weapon the gun model would not show up in 3rd person mode (but was there in FP mode). The rest of my inventory seemed fine and I was able to equip armor, use potions, summon beasties, etc..

Alrighty so, finally got 1.5 working nice and smooth with all the bells and whistles, but I've noticed the chests weren't dropping any loot, only small amounts of palladium, but most of the time just being empty. So I remembered the fix I saw here. It says you need to use the old launcher to install it, but when I try to use it it says the installation isn't suitable for more modding. :o

Make sure you have the old installer set to advanced mode under settings before installing the chest fix. As this will allow you to install a mod on a game that already has been modded. It gives you a warning, but still allows you to install.

Oh yeah, duh. Sorry for the stupid questions, seems like I haven't dealt with any of this for so long I forgot everything I learned.  ;D

Please tell me you've been working on a game somewhere along the lines of Baldur's Gate,Icewind Dale,or being a bit more realistic,Neverwinter Nights.Hardly any decent mods around for such games anymore.  >:(
