Fellbore Summons [MOD]

The Fellbore Summon mod.



From left to right: Spectral, Storm, Toxic, Fire and Force.

Initially this mod was intended to feature the possibility to control two minions at the same time but that was not possible to add in.
Like it was said, it's possible to edit string files, but not apply them so the skill descriptions still say Elemental.

This mod comes in combine with "Better Elementals Mod".

Changelog:
Replaced Elemental models with Fellbore ones.
Placed Force Elementals at the top of the skills page, then Fire Elementals, then Spectral Elemental.
New:
Replaced Fellbore Digger with Fellbore Lasher to prevent attack bug.

Bugs:
You'll start off with no skills if you're starting a new character. You can work around this by creating your character before applying this mod.

Note:
I might update this mod in the future with more features, more drastic skill page updates and other stuff, so feel free to post suggestions.

Awwwesome! You gotta use the new XML method to replace the strings file. I'll try get the launcher ready and run you guys through it

Another excellent Mod, just some questions though?

1) Do they really have no attack animation?

2) One thing I noticed is that they sorta make your eyes hurt due to them being beside similar enemy Fellbores.  :shock:

Might be able to swap around some 3D models and play with the textures to create a 'new' version of a fellbore ... ATM It looks like the mod is simply pointing to a different asset to spawn as a minion, but unfortunately that asset doesn't have the correct animations file attached to it and of course it looks like all other fellbores ... Swapping the 3D model from the fellbore to the minion would maintain the animation file info plus give you the opportunity to recolour the texture to something different ... Although I guess that would pretty much negate the basis of this mod ... OK I'll be going now :oops:

I never noticed any bugs with or missing animations. They fling their hands and projectiles fly out.

In programming, we use polymorphism to replace one object with another that share common traits. That's why we are able to create awesome mods like this because all the monsters are extended from the same base.

For example, in the game files the original summoned monster is referenced as Elemental.

(Elemental).Walk()
(Elemental).Attack()
(Elemental).Idle()

Every other monster has Walk, Attack and Idle methods for example, so when the reference is changed, it simple becomes

(Felbore).Walk()
(Felbore).Attack()
(Felbore).Idle()

It's one of the beautiful things about programming. :)

I just noticed the issue, force elementals attack instantly, causing an endless stream of damage. Took the download down and will look into fixing this.

Yeah, they were... uhhh gamebreakers.  :lol: I was even to get to do some "business" in the toilet... And Shulgoth was dead.  :?

Posted fixed version. Force elementals shoulden't cause an endless stream of damage anymore. Be sure to report any bugs you come across.

hi, thanx for ur mod and it looks really cool
but when i download and install it, the force elemental still doesn't have attack animation, and the spectral elemental still shows up as a spectral elemental instead of a fellbore

Yeah, I don't know how, I don't know why, but it's giving me bugs aswell. So I took it down to investigate.
