i missed the part about the no factions mod in the OP  :oops:

any luck with the shift-right clicking in/out on the non misc screens? if it works in the merchants, surely you can getting working here. i have confidence in you, Mal.

Let me explain what I've done and hopefully it will explain why I can't do it.
First: there is nothing in the xml file that stands out to me as being related to the function. I have made relatively minor changes, so for all intents and purposes, they are the same as the relevant inventory/stash. Stash 1, 2, and 3 are the same, there is nothing there I can use. And the same goes for the inventory pages.

Second: the only difference between the original inventory page(in inventory.txt.cooked), and the other 2 is their location. Well, that, and the description. That's it. The stash, and the others are the same. Although they're different to the inventory, they're the same as each other, again except for the location.

Now, the invloc.txt.cooked(this is where each inventory entry's location is) file has only the name of the location, and a code.
What that tells me, is since everything else about the inventory/stash pages is the same as the original inventory/stash, except the location, then something in the location is the issue. And I believe that that something is the code. Which would mean that I'd need access to the actual source code to be able to implement the shift-click transfer.
And changing an inventory's location to another one, just means that you have a clone of the first one, meaning if you have anything in one, it's in the other one as well. Remove an item, it disappears from both, obviously.
Hopefully, that's cleared it up.

Edit; Based on that, I've given it some thought, and will unlock the misc page of the stash, so you can shift-click to it.

I thought you were going to keep the scrolling bar to hide the half-row on top of the inventory?

ran into a slight problem.

the only thing i could get to go into the stash armor page was all hallow's visage & fawkes gloves.

laser sights and hunter armor wouldn't go. they would go to the misc page.

everything transfered just fine into appropriate inventory pages, and the misc & weapon tabs on the stash worked fine.

so, is it just me, or is anyone else seeing this?

I can put armours in inventory armor tab, but not in stash armor tab.
That's good for the weapons.
I only installed the 1st mod of the 3 ('Expanded Storage 2.0').

How can we translate the mod? French:
Misc= Divers
Weapons= Armes
Armours= Armures
Ok: Unzip inventory_screen.xml, ctrl+F, find those names, translate, save the file.
But I don't know how to zip it back.

I tried using the grey blocks that sit in the stash(under the scroll buttons) as a background for the buttons, but they're not big enough to fill in the space behind the 3 buttons as well, so you have a distinct gap under the first half of those buttons. There's a better way than that, because if I did it that way, I'd need a third file(it would be more like a third version of the mod for german. But it's been fixed.

I've played a couple of hours with it so far. My PC didn't go boom and my stash is overflowing with goodies - and nicely organized I might add.

It works as I had imagined it, very nice job Mal. I don't know if there are any other pack-rats out there but if you have a "hoarding" tendency, this Mod is for you  :).

Beware! I then installed the "Reduced Merchant buy back space" mod, and it destroyed almost all my weapons and armors!

Could you put the tabs (inventory and stash) in the "official" order? with bigger font for "Divers" (Misc), and a little smaller for "Armes" (Weapons)?
Then that will be perfect  :)

I hadn't noticed the issue with the font sizes, since in english Misc is bigger than the others.

Okay, updated, so that the buttons are in the same order as the merchants, and given each button label more room, exactly the same as the merchant buttons as well.
