No clue on how much longer they'll support it in South Korea. The fact that they gave up on Hellgate 2 means that they may be planning on ditching it in South Korea around the same time as they are over here in EU/US/AUS.

I'm a little bummed that its coming down, since it was well, the only playable multiplayer we had left, even if it was messed up by the cash shop fever.

As Bryan alluded, maybe now they'll start trying to pitch the IP to someone else.  But somehow I doubt they will... something tells me they're probably going to let it sit around and collect dust.

Well, the VR project will have to flop before there's the remote chance that they let go of the IP...

If the "new" Hellgate doesn't flop like 2 then hey,we get a MP Hellgate. Its potential quality is a different matter.
The sad part to me is that,if it does flop, and if they do decide to sell the IP,there seems to be no actual potential for the IP to fall into right hands.I know, for one, that the community has grown so thin that I can no longer really hope we'll do it justice.Though I'll be thrilled to be proved wrong, mind you. That would truly make my day.

List of Global class guides.
The above guides may be obsolete for vanilla SP, but they may still hold true to an extent for some mods and 2038.

I'm really sad for this. First was Need For Speed World, now that. What will come next, WoW? '-'

Well, I was wondering if in this forum there is anyone able to create a "offline server" (like happened to NFS:W), and future more able to make a LAN mode. Since Global have some good things IMO (like the Japanese maps, the characters look less ugly, etc) I wish could play this, even offline like London, for more time.

I know World of Warcraft won't be going anywhere for quite a long time.  As the main Dev stated, they have about 7 to 8 more expansions they have planned before the game is finished.  I could of figured that Hellgate Global wouldn't last more than a few years, at most.  The player base was going downhill since they introduced Tokyo.

If T3Fun had fixed alot of the bugs in the game instead of being greedy, then the player base would probably stayed.

As most of EA Games, Like Need For Speed World, they usually keep that type of game for a few years and then close down the server, as I recall.

at this point i can only for two things: first, that the right for making Hellgate will be sold at all; second, that they will be bought by somebody who wants to make the game into a better RPG-shooter than it is now.

It needs an ongoing mod support and somewhat local LAN mod support or network support via hamachi, then im a happy camper, even right now sp with rafft nagaoptions and naga 3.0b itself is a blast. They just bought a game that had no clue or experience to work on.....just sad lol, after all these years fan community is the only ones drawing a milestone in this, those "devs" there only cared about shoveling cash shops and nothing else into this masterpiece.... it's just sitting in the wrong hands for so many years.

What a stupid company. all they had to do is put the game on steam, plenty of players will play it. Oh well, glad i still have hellgate london :)
RIP Global.

BTW dungeon defenders 2 is great too with random loot. check it out.
