Guardian Cash Pet - Need Suggestions
« on: Aug 22, 2012; 11:25 AM »
hello

i wanna give my guardi a bit of luv and buy her a cash pet.
but which one? choices:

impregnable sydonai - 10% absorption, 100 armor
imgregnable shulgoth - 200 armor, 400 shield
restoration secks-worm - 400 life, 200 mana

my life is currently 5351. armor is 3674 (absorb at 92% in station). tav from equip is 42%
full renewal und defense aurae, full aura stability.

goal is to get maximum out of pet, so afk-tanking berial is even smoother.

i cannot even think of a point where to begin calculating the benefits of each pet, plz halp ;_;

edit:
also thinking about coldsteel to replace bk.
if you got some formula, you can take that into consideration (-6 aa translates into -18 stam, hpb from equip is low (setbelt, setbonus, 15% service of blood; +63 armor)

The Sekworm bonuses don't sound like ones that will make a visible difference towards your goal.Plus,it's added hitpoints aren't subject to hpb,so there's that.

I'm uncertain whether the same applies to the armor bonus of the other two and tav, might be the same case.Either way,I believe an additional 10% damage reduction (even in the manner it's calculated) along with some armor would benefit you more than plain armor and shields. So Sydonai it is :)

If you can afford the dye kit swap stat-wise,I'd consider a minor hp loss worth the armor gain as well.

As far as I've seen being speculated, damage reductions seem apply prior to actual absorption and independently of each other.

So,supposing you have both a Syd pet and the Guard set bonus and receive a hit worth 200 damage:
One 10% reduction applies,making that 180.
The second 10% reduction applies,making that 180 into 162.
Then that final 162 is dealt with by your actual absorption.

Again,that's just the speculation I've seen.Someone might've tested it,but that's that.

Cthulhu thinks you should just go with Sydonai, because he is Sydonai.

I wish I had used him on the Korean server, but unfortunately I could never let go of Super Zombot. It's a shame they've never put that little bugger up on the store... he was a great pet for any Templar player.

Raised your attack speed by 10% and movement speed by 15%. I think he also gave something else, but that may be remembering things too favorably.

Hm,in all honesty I missed that particular comment.Or I didn't pay enough attention to keep it in mind, one or the other.

If that's indeed the case it might be worth it's price.
Wouldn't that in effect reduce the needed ccm to,say,87%?Since going by that logic it should add 8.7% crit, and even making that 8% one would hit the 95% cap with it.

Heh wishful thinking on my part, still kinda hoping I purchased more than 2% crit with those 12 bucks.
Would be great if someone could eventually test it out and indulge us.
